Calendar of Test Sessions

Before Testing

Before coming to a test session, please BE SURE to read the information on The Test Session page! It has vital information you need to have, most importantly is a list of items you will need to bring with you to the test session.

NOTICE: Effective April 2021, the FCC now requires you to have an FRN (Federal Registration Number) before you will be permitted to take your exam. See The Test Session page for more info.

Locations

• AHRS Site: Birmingham testing will be held at the Alabama Historical Radio Society (AHRS) / Birmingham Radio Club meeting location, 759 18th St N, Birmingham AL 35203. A map and directions can be found on the W4CUE website: https://w4cue.com/meetings.html
   
• SCARC Site: The Shelby County testing will be held at the Shelby County Amateur Radio Club meeting location. The address is: 1449 Court PL, Pelham, AL 35124. A map and directions can be found on the W4CUE website: https://w4shl.com
   
• BirmingHAMFEST Site: The March 2025 testing session will be held at the BirmingHamfest Site -- Trussville Civic Center. That address is 5381 Trussville-Clay Rd, Trussville, AL 35173. More information can be found at the hamfest webiste: https://birminghamfest.org
   

Also note in an effort to further reach the community, we will have some test sessions at new locations. See the individual month for the exact site.

Be aware that locations are subject to change, so be sure to check back at this site just prior to coming to take an exam.

Test Time

The doors to the test location, no matter where it is, will open at 1:30 pm, testing will start at 2:00 pm.
